Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Beach
A chopper hovering near a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Recordings uploaded on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palms and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

Officials mentioned the chopper was connected to an annual “Cars N Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
